OnePlus 5 has a dual camera setup, with a telephoto lens mounted on one of them. The phone also supports the 2X Optical zoom. Technically this is 1.6 X Optical Zoom and 0.4 X of Digital Zoom, considering the fact that the telephoto lens is equipped with a 20MP Camera. This phone also supports upto 4K recording but no electronic image stabilisation is available in OnePlus 5 at 4K, its available only in 1080P.
When Comparing all the above mentioned features from OnePlus 5, OnePlus 3T isn’t left far behind. OnePlus 3T is equipped with a single 16MP camera. This does not support 2X Zoom functionality. OnePlus 3T also has Electronic image stabilisation at 4K as well.

OnePlus 3T comes with Snapdragon 821 Processor, which is slightly more power hungry. Also this is coupled with 6GB of DDR3 RAM which is slower than the latest OnePlus 5.
OnePlus 5 has a 3300 mAh Li – Polymer battery which supports quick charging, Where as OnePlus 3T has a 3400 mAh battery which also supports quick charging.
OnePlus 5 comes with 64GB/6Gb combination along with 128GB/8GB. This comes with the additional cost. When compared to the 64GB/6GB model available in OnePlus 3T.
The design of OnePlus 5 highly resembles that of Apple iPhone. This shows that they did not put so much taught into the design of the phone. OnePlus 3T has a unique design which is good.
Overall the conclusion is that OnePlus 5 is a very good phone for its price range. Its not any flagship killer, But it has its own advantages considering its price. But its not worth getting upgrade from OnePlus 3T as this phone also is very capable till today. If you are buying a new phone we highly recommend to go with OnePlus5 but not OnePlus 3T.
